Mr. Arnie Asato was a longtime supporter of the Big Island Junior Golf Association. Per request of his wife, Mrs. Wendy Asato, and to celebrate his memory and recognition of his contributions to Junior Golf in Hawaii, the Arnie Asato Memorial Fund was established. This fund holds the proceeds of The One-and-Only Arnie Asato Memorial Golf Tournament held in 2015, for the benefit of our junior golfers. 

Proceeds from this fund are being used to purchase a monthly players cards for one designated month in the year, typically from the Hilo Municipal Golf Course, for all current BIJGA Junior Members, until the exhaustion of funds. 

We would like to thank Mr. Rodney Acia, the Hilo Municipal Golf Course, Mr. Kevin Hayashi, and of course Mrs. Wendy Asato, and the entire Asato family for their continued support and priceless contribution to the Big Island Junior Golf Association.
