Message from the Board:
Aloha Juniors and Parents,
We open our 2010 season with hope to provide you, our returning and new members, with opportunities to enjoy your level of golf.
As we face challenges due to our economy, your board of volunteers has worked hard to plan a schedule filled with affordable golf events. We are thankful to our local golf industry and our local community donors/sponsors for their continued support. To reduce expenses and to help our environment, we plan to go green and use our website as our main means of communication and to disseminate our entry forms whenever possible - please contact us of changes to your email address.
This year, we ask for your continued help in sharing our mission and recruiting new members. Our mission is to continue to provide a program that will serve the needs of our juniors at different age groups and skill levels. We have developed opportunities for you, our juniors, to enjoy camaraderie experiences with our neighboring golf associations and have also partnered with additional business organizations to sponsor new tournaments or events. We extend our appreciation and heartfelt thanks to our new and returning major sponsors - Mitsubishi Electric, the PGA of the Mitsubishi Electric Championship at Hualalai, Hilo Invitational Pro-Am and Golf Tournament, Big Island Candies, Blane's Drive Inn, KTA Superstores, Pepsi-Cola, LPGA Cindy Rarick and our island courses - Hilo Municipal Golf Course, Big Island Country Club, Waikoloa Village, Waikoloa Beach & Kings, Hualalai, Mauna Lani, & Kamehameha Park - who work with us and accomodate our club plays and tournaments. We continue to hold out hope of working with other courses who may host our club with reasonable fees.
Your board of volunteers welcomes your ideas and assistance; therefore, if you are interested and willing to lead or assist in any event, please contact us by emailing Jodie Kimura at bigislandjga@aol.com
Please explore the website and we'll see you on the course. Mahalo!
